2018 marked a quiet turning point in my life: the year Berlin, the city I was born in, stopped feeling like home. What followed was the beginning of a different way of living. Scotland captured my adventurous heart by storm. A place of calm, new perspectives, and belonging that has never quite left.

In 2022, life shifted south to London. The big city brought new rhythms and challenges, and the arrival of our first child. A few years later, in early 2025, our family grew again, adding another small companion to the mix. Much like Berlin before, London and I have shared a complicated relationship - full of energy and opportunity, but also constant noise, and little space to pause. It is a chapter that taught me a lot and has come to an end in early 2026.

After four years in the capital, we’re back in Scotland, settling into a place we’ve kept close to our hearts ever since we first left it. On the East Coast, in Newport-on-Tay, life is slowing down in all the right ways. It is giving us room to breathe, space to grow, and the feeling that this time, we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.
